e.l.f. Studio Stipple Brush

Let me introduce you to my latest obsession: the stipple brush. Up until last month I had been applying foundation with my fingers, occasionally a sponge, and I found that my foundation looked, basically, crap. It was streaky and looked cakey so I decided to invest in the much loved stipple brush.

I opted for the e.l.f. Stipple Brush due to it's affordable price so if I hated it I wouldn't have spent too much money on it. It also has synthetic bristles which I try to buy where possible due to personal preference. The bristles are Taklon which is supposed to have better softer and more absorbent making it better for use on the face.

The brush itself is unusual as it has two layers of bristles. One is short and one is long. This layering gives a more airbrushed effect on the skin and allows you to build up coverage easily.

I am loving using this brush! I can't imagine not having it in my collection now. My foundation looks much better and a lot more natural than it did before. I can create a sheer or heavy coverage without having to faff around too much with various products and tools, this does all the work for me. It's really easy to clean which is great for me (I have an obsession with cleaning brushes). I'm considering buying more of these types of brushes as they are so useful! It's only a bargain too at £3.75.

Do you own any stipple brushes? Any recommendations to add to my collection?

I'm back with a bang!... Lush's Fizzbanger

Fizzbanger is a bath ballistic in Lush that, up until now, I 've more or less ignored. I tend to opt for the more interesting looking bath bombs and poor old Fizzbanger was just a plain Jane in the midst of the other ballistics on offer.I picked up Fizzbanger last week. I knew it was a dual fizz meaning that it has two layers of fizzing action so I hoped that it would surprise me once in the bath!

The smell of this ballistic is beautiful; Lush describes it as sweet with apple and cinnamon fragrances inspired by Roald Dahl's The BFG. I can't quite pin point what the fragrance does smell of but it really is a gorgeous scent and makes such a sweet, relaxing bath. My bathroom was filled with fragrance which made me happy!

What I really liked about this product was how slowly it fizzed away in the tub. It lasted ages and was nice to watch it roll around the bath creating a foamy layer before unveiling a bright green centre. The popping candy creates a little crackle sound which is always fun. There is a hidden surprise in the middle of Fizzbanger but I won't spoil it for those who are yet to try it out ;-) After Fizzbanger had finished dissolving, my bath was super fragrant and very relaxing!

I'm so glad I tried Fizzbanger out. It smells amazing and I definitely want to repurchase!

Avobath! with Lush

Lush make the craziest and most eccentric bath products on the high street, it's what we all know and love! Avobath looks pretty dull compared to the other ballistics on offer in the shop however it is a hidden gem!

If you haven't tried Avobath before, I strongly suggest you pop into your nearest Lush store, ask one of the lovely shop assistants to point you in the direction of the bath bombs, pick up Avobath (it's the big green one) and have a good sniff. It smells beautifully fresh; a mixture of lemony-citrus fragrances that just uplifts your mood.

In the bath it fizzes away slowly releasing a mixture of fantastic fragrances that will instantly make you happier. My only criticism is that this is kind of all it does. My favourite lush bath bomb is Dragon's Egg which fizzes, foams and pops making Avobath seem pretty boring in comparison but Avobath is just so beautifully fragranced and makes such a relaxing bath. It also has some shimmer to it which is lovely as it doesn't leave the bath (or yourself) covered in glitter.

Avobath also contains avocado and olive oil which are amazing for your skin and supposed to clear a blocked mind, making you feel confident, uplifted and proud.

I will be getting this ballistic again; I think it would be perfect to perk yourself up and freshen your mind. It's such a lovely bath fragrance and I really enjoyed using it!
