e.l.f. Studio Stipple Brush

Let me introduce you to my latest obsession: the stipple brush. Up until last month I had been applying foundation with my fingers, occasionally a sponge, and I found that my foundation looked, basically, crap. It was streaky and looked cakey so I decided to invest in the much loved stipple brush.

I opted for the e.l.f. Stipple Brush due to it's affordable price so if I hated it I wouldn't have spent too much money on it. It also has synthetic bristles which I try to buy where possible due to personal preference. The bristles are Taklon which is supposed to have better softer and more absorbent making it better for use on the face.

The brush itself is unusual as it has two layers of bristles. One is short and one is long. This layering gives a more airbrushed effect on the skin and allows you to build up coverage easily.

I am loving using this brush! I can't imagine not having it in my collection now. My foundation looks much better and a lot more natural than it did before. I can create a sheer or heavy coverage without having to faff around too much with various products and tools, this does all the work for me. It's really easy to clean which is great for me (I have an obsession with cleaning brushes). I'm considering buying more of these types of brushes as they are so useful! It's only a bargain too at £3.75.

Do you own any stipple brushes? Any recommendations to add to my collection?
