Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads

My skin can be terrible at times; It will be clear for a day then I will have a crazy break out for days. I'm a little obsessed with skin care and I'm always buying things to try and help my skin behave better :)

I spotted the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads as they were on offer and I had never tried anything similar so thought it would be worth a shot. Was it worth the risk? ...

Lush's Rose Jam bubble bar

You all know how crazy I am for bubble baths and Lush make the BEST bubble bars ever. This time I went for Rose Jam.

Bubble bars are basically solid bubble bath, similar to a bath bomb but with bubbles and not fizz. So to create the MOUNTAINS of bubbles (no exaggeration) you break a piece of the bubble bar off and crumble it into the bath under a running tap. And Voila! a lovely, fragrant bubble bath :)

La Riche Directions 'Rose Red' Hair Dye

I used to have bright coloured dip dye hair which I loved! I didn't care for it properly and decided to cut it off :( Now my hair is longer again, I'm considering a crazy coloured dip dye again and thought it would be a good opportunity to show you guys my previous experience with the Directions hair dyes.

Rose Red was the first Directions hair dye I purchased. It's a blue toned pink colour which is very deep and looks almost red. It is a semi-permanent dye and has best results on bleached hair. It comes in a handy little tub which really goes a long way! It lasts round 2 to 3 weeks before fading to a pastel(ish) orange colour.

The first time I used it I had dyed my whole head and, to be honest, it was a horrific experience. It went EVERYWHERE, dyed everything in my bathroom and transferred onto everything. If I touched my hair, it would be on my hands then on anything else I touched.

I think the problem was that I just slapped a load of the dye onto my hair and didn't realise that a little goes a long way! I vowed never to use it again...

However I still had half a tub left and earlier this year I fancied dying my dip-dye. This time round it was fantastic; I used a lot less of the dye and it wasn't so bad for transferring. It did dye my bath initially however it was pretty easy to clean up and no where near as bad as the first time I used it.

I adore the shade of Rose Red and if this wasn't so bad for transferring onto my bed sheets I'd definitely repurchase however it is just too messy for me so I don't think I'll be buying this again any time soon.

Lush's Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds

I love how Lush name their products; Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds is the perfect name for this bubble bar!

I used to hate this fragrance. It has a heavy patchouli fragrance which I tended to avoid and dismiss as fragrance I didn't like but I was very wrong! One of the Lush employees said it reminded them of the smell of rain and I have to agree. It's the kind of comforting, relaxed feeling fragrance that is a little more grown up. This is a change for me as I always pick the sweetest smelling fragrances. The more I smell this bubble bar the more I fall in love, to the point where at my last trip to my local Lush store I had to pop it into my basket to try it out.

Bubble bars are Lush's version of bubble bath in a solid form that is designed to be crumbled under a bath tap to create literal mountains of bubbles. You only need a small chunk of bubble bar and, as Blue Skies is so HUGE, I can get 4 baths worth out of this bar which is fantastic! (I usually get 2 or 3 baths out of the smaller bubble bars and some people have told me they get 6 baths out of Blue Skies!)

A quarter of this bar made a load of bubbles and they did remind me of fluffy clouds making my bath super relaxing. I was a little disappointed that the fragrance wasn't so strong in the bath and maybe I'll try a little more bubble bar when I use the rest up to bump up the fragrance level. I noticed that this bubble bar in particular made the water a little moisturising on my skin which is nice.

I will definitely be buying this bubble bar again! It makes a lovely change from my usual sweet smelling products I buy from Lush and it is so relaxing. I've learnt to love the fragrance of Blue Skies and I think you will too!
