It's October which means Halloween is upon us! I love this time of year as it gives me a fantastic excuse to talk about the Lush Halloween limited edition releases, such as the Lord of Misrule bathbomb.
The inspiration behind this bath bomb is the pagan myth of the Lord of Misrule who was the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools (which sounds great to me!). The bath bomb itself is really cute; it's a standard ball shape but it has a crown all the way round. It is full of Fair trade vanilla absolute which does leave a sweet vanilla fragrance, and it has a kind of spicy smell to it which I assume comes from the black pepper and patchouli. I love this fragrance! It's also got popping candy in which crackles when it's in the water.
What sells this bomb to me is what it does once in the bath. The white bubbles on the photos are actually from a splash of bubble bath I'd popped in before. Lord of Misrule slowly fizzes away then erupts into the most beautiful red wine colour which is divine to bathe in. It reminded me of a witch's brew! I love the colour and it just feels so luxurious to be in as well as feeling softening on the skin. The red and green give it a real festive, warm feel.
This is a fantastic ballistic produced by Lush and I'm glad it will be staying over the festive period.

It's brilliant!! I usually go for glitter and bubbles but this felt so much more grown-up and mysterious, very Halloween ;) xxx
DeleteOoh I will have to check this one out. I did see it in the store but was too busy looking for the Pumkin bubble bar and the Soot ball bath bomb so completely missed out looking at this.
ReplyDeleteDoes make the bath look pretty. Looks lush (excuse the pun) to bathe in. :D
Juyey xx
I have Soot ball too! I'm too attached to him to use him in the bath though! Haha! xxx
