LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask

I've always wanted to try out the Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask we sell in Lush - it is one of the popular masks because of it's anti oxidising blueberries. I'm quite loyal to my regular Cosmetics Warrior mask but I thought I'd live life large and go a bit crazy by switching up my face masks ;)

Catastrophe Cosmetic smells delicious. I know you shouldn't judge a face mas by its fragrance but honestly, this smells like something you could eat. It's so fruity! When I opened the mask I was splashed by a load of water that had separated from the mask. This was a bit rubbish however I just mixed it with the rest of the contents of the pot and it seemed fine!

The mask has a chalky consistency and feels like a more traditional, clay based mask. I'm assuming this is due to the calamine powder and talc mixture that forms this mask. The idea behind the mask is that the blueberries soothe and protect the skin whilst the chamomile blue oil and calamine powder soothe the skin.

I hated the chalky feel of the mask drying on my skin but I was pleased that, once washed off, my face wasn't too dry at all. It felt smoother and my skin looked less sore than it had when I first woke up that morning.

I really enjoyed using this face mask. I think it would be great for troubled skin that has occasional break outs, or anyone that fancies having a luxurious pamper without the hefty price tag!
