I spent last weekend up in North Wales to stay in Barmouth. Barmouth is a lovely little place next to an amazing beach and surrounded by hills and mountains, meaning plenty of opportunity to get out those walking boots and go exploring!
I had never really been to North Wales before and I was pleasantly surprised at what I found there (apologies - this will be a heavy picture post!).
The surroundings were exactly like something from a fairy tale book. The mountains were huge and jagged, reminding me of something from Lord of the Rings. One of the days, myself and Nick found a beautiful waterfall nestled in some hills and we stayed and watched it for about an hour because it was so breathtakingly beautiful.
I can honestly say I've never seen such fantastic beaches in all of Britain and I could have walked along them for hours. Barmouth itself isn't that amazing at this time of year (March) but I can imagine it being a thriving beach tourist hot spot in the summer months. I loved my little weekend here; it was perfect for a short break from the city and I can't wait to go back and explore again!
What's the most beautiful place you have been to?
Never heard of Barmouth but it looks beautiful! If I saw just the pics, I would've thought it was the Lake District!
