LIFE // Challenge yourself for Charity!

The Willow Foundation is a charity that I had heard of but didn't know much about so when I was contacted by the lovely Beth at Beauty in Beta, who currently volunteers for the foundation, to help raise awareness for their latest event I was more than happy to oblige! The Willow Foundation is an amazing charity that are making a huge difference to people's lives and their latest event is an extreme challenge that I know lots of you will be interested in (and trust me, this one is a mega challenge)!

The Willow Foundation is a charity that focuses on creating days to remember for seriously ill young adults. It gives them a chance to enjoy a special day out with friends and family to reconnect and create beautiful memories that can be treasured forever. I love that the charity is determined to allow every one to live life to the fullest no matter what they might be going through!

So now we know what a fantastic charity we are looking to raise money for, what on earth is this crazy challenge I keep mentioning? It's called 'Will of Iron' and it is the ultimate triathlon consiting of either a 26.2 mile run, a 112 mile cyle and a 2.4 mile swim OR, the half distance option, 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile cycle and a 13.1 mile run.

The rules are as follows: "You can take part as an individual or as a team. At the gym or outdoors. Your team can be as little as two people or as many as 200. Divide the triathlon by sports or by distance. The only rule is that you need to complete your challenge over seven consecutive days." (Will of Iron)

I love that you can tackle this challenge on your own or get together a group of friends to tackle the triathlon together. You can do it wherever is easier - outdoors or your local gym - and it has to be completed over the week starting the 2nd of May. Join up now and you'll have plenty of time to get a group together and begin practising. It only costs £25 to take part, what are you waiting for?!
