LIFE // My Life Lately

I have always been a big believer in that you can blog every day if you put your mind to it. On the other hand, I'm also a believer that you shouldn't post bad quality blog posts that you wouldn't read yourself. With that in mind, I've been a *little* off schedule. By little, I mean a mega-gone-off-track schedule but I've had so much going on that there is no way I could keep up with it all.

What on Earth have I been up to then?! Well, quite a bit of what I like to call 'life tidying'...

On the 8th I had my driving theory test booked. This will be the second time I have had to do my theory as I passed it three years ago but it unfortunately expired. I wasn't too nervous as it was a repeat exam and I'm glad to say I passed it! I'm super relieved! It means I'm one step closer to finally passing my driving licence which gives me much more opportunity, freedom and means I'm less dependent on anyone else. I always feel bad about getting lifts off my parents and Nick so it will be nice to have the chance to get my own care eventually. Although I'm really happy in my job, and not planing on leaving anytime soon, a car means I'd have more chance to apply for jobs further afield or even move away from where I live at the moment for a job. It would just generally make life easier should I wish to move!

It has been Easter weekend of course and if you haven't seen my fabulous hidden bunny Easter cake then here is a treat for you:

Isn't it amazing?! I honestly didn't think it would even turn out that well and, despite wonky bunnies, I think it looks pretty ace! Tasted amazing too and made me realise how much I actually enjoy and miss baking things. I'm feeling much more inspired to do more baking and maybe even teach myself to cook things (which is on my 101 in 1001 list).

I've been putting a lot of time into planning making candles. I actually do this as a hobby and am looking forward to perhaps starting to sell them to people. I love being involved in business and have done a couple of projects in the past that haven't always worked out but I'm pretty confident this new one will go well! So keep your eyes peeled and you can follow my candle venture here. I'm a bit more free from work too as I have bit of holiday I need o take so will get much more time blogging (and reading. reading lots of books).

Hope you've all had a lovely Easter break and glad to see me back ;)

  1. The little Easter bunny cake is adorable! I look forward to see what candles you come up with, homemade candles are always my favorite.
