REVIEW // got2b Mind Blowing Xpress Dry Styling Spray

When I spotted got2b Mind Blowing Xpress Dry Styling Spray on the shelf at my local Superdrug I thought I had hit the jackpot. A heat defence hair spray that speeds up hair drying time? Yes please! I'd never tried a product like this before but I had used other products from Schwarzkopf's got2b range and been happy with them. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing about this one.

Positives first. You get a lot of product for your money. The spray goes quite a long way and I had no problem using it in my long, thick, wavy hair. It also made brushing my hair a little easier too although it's not the best spray I've tried for de-tangling - it will be fine for hair that tangles a little after washing.

Does it speed drying time? I can honestly say it took longer for my hair to dry using Xpress Dry styling spray, especially the middle sections and ends of my hair, than blow drying it with no product in. I don't know why it did this but it made my hair feel like plastic and it just would not dry. Maybe I used too much of the spray but it was a nightmare to dry so I was very disappointed as that's the whole reason I bought it! I've used it on both wetter hair and towel dried hair but it makes no difference. I understand it is a styling spray too but the added weight to my hair was a nightmare and I just wanted to re-wash my hair after using it.

Heat protection wise I think it is doing its job. My hair felt less tangled and I've noticed less damaged ends since I've been using it but not enough to make me think this product is worth the money. After my hair was dry and straightened (I had to straighten my hair while it was still damp because of this spray!) it still felt plastic-y and it got oily much more quickly than usual.

It's a shame I dislike this product so much because Schwarzkopf got2b's Guardian Angel heat defence spray (it's the tall one in the black bottle) is amazing and lightweight so I had high hopes for this Xpress Dry styling spray. I definitely won't be repurchasing this one... I'll stick to their Guardian Angel heat defence spray instead and put up with my hair taking ages to dry!
