BEAUTY // My Hair History [Part Two]

My hair has had a lot of variations over the years. It started at the tender age of 15 years, with some neon pink highlights, and my hair has been subject to change ever since. If you saw my Part One of my Hair History, then not only have you been treated to some AMAZINGLY cringe-worthy childhood selfies of myself but you will know that I left my hair journey at a bad place... black hair dye. Where on Earth will I go next?! How did I get my hair the colour it is today?! You'll have to keep reading to find out...

We all know that black hair dye is impossible to shift once it's on your hair so, knowing that I love to change my hair, I have no idea why I chose to go so dark! I somehow managed to wash it out using a lot of Lush's I Love Juicy shampoo and it went back to a kinda dark brown and weird bleach blonde where the red pieces of hair had been. This was my first year at uni and my first year working at Lush and I tried Lush's henna blocks to dye it. It went a gorgeous auburn, ginger colour and I loved it...

For three days. Then I had it all cut into a long bob. If you remember last time, I hated my bob and grew my hair out since having it cut. So, naturally, I did regret this hair cut. It's not a bad do, it's just not really me. Cue growing out stages again.

Then I had a great idea to attempt to bleach my hair after I'd henna-ed it. I'm not quite sure what I was thinking, luckily my hair didn't drop out and it just went a weird patchy orange colour. So I just coloured the whole thing with Direction's Rose Red. It was such a bad look for me!

That year I was off to America and I dyed my hair a dark brown for the Summer just so it was an easy up keep. My hair grew out quite a bit whilst I was in America so was a decent length when I came home. I decided to try and dip dye it and it was really odd looking. Very sharp line and no blend haha!

After this I kept my dip-dye for quite some time, switching between blonde, pink and once turquoise/green. This is when I looked after my hair the least and had to have the dip-dye cut off because it was in bad condition. So I was back to a bob AGAIN.

After growing it and growing it, having a brief ombre/dip dye again, I dyed it all red. I love this colour and it's the colour I have stuck with for the longest time. I'm usually red headed now, but I have tried a more purple-hue this year and quite liked that!

I don't think anyone can quite beat my extensive hair history! I love looking at what other people do with their hair so if you have any hair history posts or videos to share, leave them in the comments below!
