BEAUTY // Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Blemish Stick*

My skin is a nightmare. If you've read any of my previous skincare related posts, you will know I have lots of problems with my skin. Random break ups are probably my number one skincare problem so I'm always on the lookout for a new blemish stick to help my face!

Australian Bodycare is a brand I'd not heard of but when I was asked if I'd like to try out their Blemish stick I thought I'd give it a go! The main ingredient is Tea Tree oil which is antibacterial so great to help fight those pesky spots and blemishes.
Australian Bodycare say that their blemish stick helps spots, bites and minor skin irritations.

The Blemish stick is a clear liquid inside a roller ball which I like as it makes it convenient for use. It's the perfect size to carry in your handbag too so good for applying throughout the day. It's got a slightly alcoholic smell with a faint tea tree fragrance which did put me off a little but it's not noticeable once it's on the skin. The product itself applies like a dream as it's silky smooth and light in texture.

I went ahead and applied this on all my break out areas on my face. I also applied it to my cheeks and nose where I'd caught the sun a little throughout the day. The product takes a long time to sink in. I seem to have this problem with most spot treatments being really sticky on top of my skin, I guess it's to form a barrier for the product to work, but it irritates me as I'm paranoid I'm going to wipe them off. I managed to leave it for about 20 minutes and it did start to sink in and was left feeling like a light moisturiser on my face - not sticky but not completely sunk in to the skin. I could definitely feel it on my skin.

The next morning I woke up and had unexpected results! I saw that it hadn't really done much for my spots at all. They were all still there but they were less angry and red. The thing that surprised me most was that my cheeks and nose looked amazing - they are usually bright red after being in the sun and after using the blemish stick there was virtually no redness to be seen!! It didn't make me any more oily and it certainly didn't dry my skin out.

I've been using the blemish stick frequently for a over week now and I have seen some slight improvements on the break out front too. Although it hasn't eliminated my spots, my skin has cleared up faster than usual which is a plus! Even though this product isn't perfect for my skin's break outs, I'm so impressed with Australian Bodycare's Blemish stick's ability to calm down redness and give me an overall nicer complexion. This product is perfect for this time of year, especially if you get a lot of break outs in the warmer weather and are looking for a natural and convenient product that helps calm down irritated skin.
