Bath Spa & Turning 23

This blog post could almost be one of those 'How Not to visit Bath Spa' posts. As everything went a bit wrong with my journey to Bath, instead of being a Negative Nancy I thought it would be fun to tell you about what I did see there as it was such a beautiful place to visit for my 23rd birthday.

One thing that did surprise me about Bath was how hilly it was. I didn't realise it was set on such big hills and I was glad I wasn't the one driving round there haha! The city itself is beautiful. There are loads of old churches and a cathedral to look around, and all the shops are set on a traditional English high street. There was a great atmosphere around the place as there were students and shoppers all mingling and enjoying the sunshine. There were some outdoor food places that made my mouth water as they smelt so good!

A short walk to the river and you're greeted with stunning parks with plenty of benches to sit at and ponder life. There are loads of boats along the river so you can people watch as they go by. I could have sat for hours and just watched the water. There are loads of touristy things to do there, museums and of course the famous Roman Spas, plus plenty of quirky cafes to sit and grab a coffee.

I'd love to go back to Bath and explore properly - how many of you have been there before? What's your favourite thing to do in Bath?
