Millennia #StoreAwakens Store Opening

Last weekend, I was invited along to the store opening of Millennia; a shop that specialises in TV, movie, games and sci-fi merchandise. This shop sounded right up my street so I couldn't wait to check out their opening weekend.

It's safe to say that Millennia did not disappoint!

Millennia is hands down one of the coolest looking shops I've been to in a long time. I hate to say it but a lot of 'geeky' shops tend to look a little dated sometimes (not always!) so it was nice to see a slick looking interior to show off their amazing products.

I loved looking through all the quirky products in the shop - I could have easily bought one of everything! They stock items for every price range, from little key charms all the way up to impressive collectors figurines. Mitch and I were spoilt for choice on what to buy. Millennia put great effort into the opening weekend. The staff were really friendly and made sure everyone was having fun in the shop - you felt welcome and comfortable which is important if you're spending a while geeking out there! Customers in the shop were smiling and posing with the life size Batman and Storm Trooper (including me).

On the Sunday that I went, they had Darth Vader and Kylo Ren there. I don't know why but people dressed up genuinely terrify me, I think it's because I can't see their face, but I pretty much spent a lot of my time strategically browsing as far away from Kylo Ren as possible haha! He was terrifying!!

One of my favourite parts of the store for me was the Funko Pop wall. They had a huge selection of figures to choose from, from every film or game you could think of. If you're a fan of Funko figures you will be wowed by the choice you get at Millennia.

Obviously, I bought  load of Star Wars related goodies. I got a cute BB-8 USB stick for all my blog work, a Chewbacca tsum tsum and a light up lightsaber key ring. I was also lucky enough to have won their Twitter chat competition, so I bagged myself a Star Wars t-shirt!

I wish Millennia was closer to me because it was such a great concept for a shop. Luckily for me, they have an online shop, but next time I'm in London I'm making sure I go back for a second visit!

PS - HUGE thanks to Mitch who was my photographer for the day - show him some love and follow him on Twitter here.
